An a-frame rolls through amid the tsunami surge at an extremely crowded rivermouth. Ghetto birds hovering, waves firing, harbor destruction ensuing. Turned out to be a pretty exciting Friday.
Here’s a video I shot around 11:30am in the upper harbor. The lady standing next to me was extremely annoying at the time, but upon further review she has some pretty classic quotes. YouTube viewers agree. Also, this is in no way intended to belittle the damage done to these boats and property (most damage went to small boats and liveaboards) and even more so to the people of Japan. It was however rather impressive to watch the unrelenting destructive surges funnel their way up the harbor. I’m glad we pulled ole Grendel out of the water a few months back.
